Rob Rich

Founder & Creative Director

Founder and Creative Director of the internationally acclaimed dance organization and training program RICHFAM, Philadelphia native Robert Rich was introduced to the performing arts at an early age, where he developed a deep passion for education through dance. Now based in California, Rich’s professional background in education includes faculty appointments at respected institutions such as the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA), Debbie Reynolds Dance Studio, and TMilly Studio. In addition, he has taught nationally for numerous dance conventions and studios across the country.

Rich’s impact as an educator extends far beyond national borders. He is a world-renowned instructor and mentor, working with some of the most respected artists and emerging talent within the global commercial dance industry.

With over a decade of experience as a working creative, Rich has performed for internationally celebrated artists such as Lady Gaga, Kendrick Lamar, and Mariah Carey. His choreographic work includes some of America’s leading dance television series, including So You Think You Can Dance, Dancing With the Stars, and America’s Best Dance Crew. Beyond television, his artistry has been showcased on world tours and live stages for artists such as Bad Bunny, Ciara, and Mariah Carey.

Rich’s true passion lies in creative direction and mentorship, which is fully realized through RICHFAM—his global community-driven project designed to jumpstart the careers of deserving dancers. With sold-out productions in Sweden, Italy, Spain, Peru, Israel, and Los Angeles, Rich’s deep appreciation for culture and the performing arts informs a training style rooted in diversity, excellence, and performance.

His love for education strongly influences his teaching approach, preparing dancers for long-lasting careers in both the commercial and educational sectors. The classroom and rehearsal environment he cultivates is supportive yet demanding—encouraging growth, confidence, and artistic risk-taking.

With over 150 RICHFAM members worldwide sustaining successful professional dance careers after training under his direction, the results speak for themselves: training with Rich is not just an education—it’s a pathway to achievement.
